The Downside Of Self-Affirmations (When Affirmations Don’t Work!)

You may be feeling great after reading the powerful self-love affirmations above. But be careful. This positive feeling won’t last unless you learn how to use affirmations effectively.

If you let your analytical mind (or inner critic) talk louder than your affirmations, it will override your mind and have an opposite effect (study). Moreover, affirmations may put a bandage over a wound, but they don’t heal the wound.

Going deep within yourself will help you identify your unresolved traumas, limiting beliefs, and irrational fears that create self-sabotaging behaviors.
